Here's a great interview with a fellow educator, who also was my workshop student a few years ago...There are some folks working in antique photographic processes who almost seem resentful that others are joining their exclusive "club".  I'm going on 8 years of working in the wet-plate collodion process and still get occasional snark from one of those 25 year vets...However, I am really happy to see others not just picking up but mastering pre-film photography. Congratulations, Michelle!

Workshop #1 in San Francisco, Jan. 16-17 2016.

My first San Francisco Wet Plate Collodion workshop was a success, though it was the first time in 8 years of workshops that it rained! So much for shooting in Duboce Park!
We moved the cameras inside and used some strobes in the studio (and did a few 30 second exposures next to the gallery window). Stay tuned for news about my upcoming SF and LA workshops...
